Redefining Privacy?

An top intelligence official for the US government is saying that it’s time that Americans start redefining their view of privacy.  Basically this means that we’re being asked to give up more of our freedom and more of out privacy so that the government can go on a witch hunt.  Who knows what they’ll be hunting.  Now it’s the “terrorists“, except that evidence is mounting to suggest that the 9/11 attacks had little to do with terrorism.  Next it’ll be people suspected of doing anything illegal – selling pot, downloading music, etc…  We have to speak up now, before it’s too late.

First They Came for the Jews

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Smallpox Laden Blankets

Or Chinese manufactured toys.  Let’s take a look at the similarities.  The US government gave smallpox laden blankets to the American Indians to weaken the population and make it easier for us to take over the country.  It worked out pretty well for us.  We were able to slaughter millions because their men were weak and their women were busy taking care of their dying children.  So why hasn’t anyone taken a good look at the number of poorly manufactured and dangerous toys coming out of China and thought, “This is smallpox all over again.”  What if the Chinese are trying to distract us, weaken our population, and kill our children so that there will be no one to fight them in generations to come when they are suffering from an enormous overpopulation problem and need more land, more water, and more of pretty much everything.  China is dangerous. The time for conventional warfare is over.  Countries are looking for new and different ways todestroy each other financially, psychologically, and physically.  Why do we assume that we are immune?

Writer’s Strike

I know it may seem like I’m involved since I’ve barely posted lately.  Life is a little hectic right now, but I think it’s important that we all support the writer’s strike.  The networks and the actors make all the money, but it’s the writerswho turn an island in the South Pacific into a nightmare, make the incredibly depessing Daily News funny, and prepare the questions for out favorite game shows.  They have been getting the short end of the stick with DVD and Internet sales, and it’s time they start being paid for the ideas THEY create.  I’m tired of sitting back and watching corporations make all the money while the people who do all the work make just enough to get by.  Why have we not noticed that we are living in the modern feudal system?  Just because we don’t call them lords and masters doesn’t mean we;ve come any further than we were 1000 years ago.  It’s time fo the next serf revolution, and the writer’s strike is a small symptom of a larger problem.

Another symptom of a country in crisis: 3,858 US soldiers killed in Iraq, 28,327 US soldiers wounded in Iraq
