War With Iran

France is discussing the option of going to war with Iran in the country gains nuclear weapons.  I can’t help but remind myslef that this is the reason we used for a pre-emptive war with Iraq, and that we set the precedent for other countries doing as they please in this area.

Let’s focus on this instead:

Yeah, who would have guessed there’d be any blowback from invading Iraq? Sigh.

France has been taken over by conservatives. Again, not the good preservation-and-fiscal-responsibility crowd, but the bad things-suck-and-we-know-who-to-blame-(hint-hint) type. You know, Dubya’s kind of people.

Think Congress will show any balls about the budget? If so, maybe we can avoid any madness with Iran. I’m not betting though.

(Please note the link in my comment above. Your color scheme does not make it apparent.)

Big Daddy Bush knows only one law, and that’s his own. He doesnt want to engage in negotiations because that implies that someone other than himself might have a point. He is The Authority, and anything that takes away from that authority, be it changing direction in a war, or even admitting that there might be a reason to change direction, or giving credit to the opposition, or taking real responsibility for ones mistakes, he will not ever do unless he is wrestled to the ground and forced to say uncle by someone who will not take “my way or the highway” for an answer. Unfortunately, Congress has already shown themselves not to be that body, and we’re stuck with his increasingly irrational decisions for another 16 months. God only knows what mischief he’ll get up to.

I think it may be a good idea to put links in quotes until I can figure out how to change the color scheme or find another one tha I like. I have the dark backgroung because it conserves energy.
