Just a Theory

With rising gas prices, Global Warming (or weather changes that the government wants us to believe are unrelated), and more problems with the pipeline and Middle East every day, you would think that our country would be looking toward alternative means of fueling our overly consumeristic lives. You might think that we’d be looking at ways to slow down and ultimately stop Global Warming so that the sea level doesn’t rise a foot every generation. Is it possible that The Religious don’t believe in Global Warming because to put stock in such a notion would be to admit that humans, not God, control the climate of our Earth, therefore negating a fairly large part of his and other religions around the world? And what about Solar Power? There are countries who are doing excellent things with Solar Power, but not the most powerful, wealthiest country in the world. Why is that? It is possible that The Religious are afraid that if Solar Power does indeed help reduce the effects of Global Warming, people will revert to Sun Worship and forget about the Invisible Man who does all the saving? Because if we can save ourselves, who needs a Savior?
